Frequent Questions
We have 5 core band members – Misha, Brian, Jeff, Kurt and Roderick. Like any band though, we have substitutes that may sit in if one of our core members has a previously scheduled conflict. Depending on the event we may invite additional drummers or musicians to sit in (which does not add to the cost).
Jambient makes having music at your event(s) affordable! Our rates are based on how many hours/sets we play at your event, travel expenses (if your event location is a significant distance from Seattle and/or it requires an overnight stay), and other factors unique to your party, event or retreat.
- 1 Set Minimum (1 hour of music): Acts as a base rate which also covers travel, load-in, set up, play, tear down, load out and accommodations (if required).
- 2 or 3 Sets Optional (2 or 3 hours of music with 15 minute breaks between sets): We quote reduced rates for both the 2nd and 3rd hours of music.

One Hour Show Package (Example 6:30 pm start time)
5:30: Arrive to set up (one hour before music start time)
6:30 – 7:30: Set 1/1! Let’s Groove and Dance!
7:30 – 7:45: Final song encore (5-10 minutes) time permitting (determined by you the host).
7:45 – 8:30: Conclude, pack, load and depart.
Total Time: 5:30 – 8:30 pm ~ 3 hours.
Two Hour Show Package (Example 6:30 pm start time)
5:30: Arrive to set up (one hour before music start time)
6:30 – 7:30: Set 1/2! Let the Groovin’ and Dancin’ begin!
7:30 – 7:45: (15 min break)
7:45 – 8:45: Set 2/2! Continue the Groovin’ and Dancin’!
8:45 – 9:00: One encore song if time permits (determined by you the host).
9:00 – 10:00: Conclude, pack, load and depart.
Total Time: 5:30 – 10:00 pm ~ 4.5 hours.
3 Hour Show Package (Example 3:00 pm afternoon start time)
3:00: Arrive to set up (one hour before music start time)
4:00 – 5:00: Set 1/3! Let the Groovin’ and Dancin’ begin!
5:00 – 5:15: (15 min break)
5:15 – 6:15: Set 2/3! Continue the Groovin’ and Dancin’!
6:15 – 6:30: (15 min break)
6:30 – 7:30: Set 3/3! Continue the Groovin’ and Dancin’!
7:30 – 7:45: One encore song if time permits (determined by you the host).
7:45 – 8:30: Conclude, pack, load and depart.
Total Time: 3:00 – 8:30 pm ~ 5.5 hours.
Jambient will liven up your beach, clubhouse or backyard party, company party, birthday or anniversary party, or any other special event! We also love playing festivals, farmers markets and community events.
Jambient can play up to 3 hours of both ambient (vibin’ background, mingle, polyrhythmic) music, mixed with up-tempo jammin’ (danceable polyrhythmic) music. Here’s a partial set list:
